The SBPI is a synergy emanating from the coming together of a group of like minded persons with a proven track record in promoting biotechnology in the country. Most of them have played a part or have witnessed land mark events in biotechnology in the country. SBPI would strive to foster new models of biotechnology research that would provide a fillip to efforts of all in the promotion of Biotechnology. SBPI would push towards shaping a proactive policy and increasing funding towards research in critical areas in life-sciences.
This collective will help build an ecosystem for innovation, one that is well equipped in terms of human resources, state of the art infrastructure and a regulatory framework that would facilitate a speedy journey from processes and products towards commercialization.
