The Society of Biotechnology Promoters of India (SBPI) is a collective of biotechnologists aiming to advance biotechnology research. They seek to enhance funding for critical areas, streamline regulations, and bridge the gap between research and product development. Inspired by pioneers like Dr. S Ramachandran, SBPI fosters innovation and collaboration to harness biotechnology for societal benefit.

The SBPI is a synergy emanating from a group of like-minded persons with a proven track record in promoting biotechnology in the country. Most of them have played a part or have witnessed landmark events in biotechnology in the country. SBPI would strive to foster new models of biotechnology research that would provide a fillip to efforts of all in the promotion of Biotechnology. SBPI would push toward shaping a proactive policy and increasing funding for research in critical areas of life sciences.
